Colour Meaning (Psychology)

Colour Psychology is the way we react to colour, the stimulus response we give when we interact with different colours & the way they makes us feel. We all have a conscious and subconscious response to colour, when we wear a certain colour or use it in our home or business, it not only affects our mood, but also the mood of those exposed to it. The colours we unconsciously tells a lot about our subconscious or conscious state of being.

When choosing your beads consider the meaning and association of the colours.

Black is associated with power, protection, mystery, strength, authority, elegance, formality, and authority, Black is required for all other colours to have depth and variation of hue. Black is the only colour that can absorb the entire light spectrum.

White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the colour of perfection. White means safety, purity, and cleanliness.  White can represent a successful beginning.

Blue is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolises trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Red is the colour of fire and blood, so it is associated with high energy,  strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Red is a very emotionally intense colour. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. Also associated with root chakra

Green, the colour of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and abundance. Green is also traditionally associated with money, finances, banking, ambition and the heart chakra

The colour purple is often associated with spirituality, royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic. Associated with the crown chakra.
